More Than Just A Wash
Want your car to look and feel like new again? Detailing means different things to different people. Some think its just a simple cleaning. I provide the next step to keep your car exterior looking like new by actually removing fine swirls, fine scratches, polishing and sealing so the paint is protected for months to come. Refining the paint takes more than just a simple wash & wax. These unsightly scratches can seem impossible to avoid even on the most high end cars. To correct these eye sores I provide paint restoration and machine polishing. My mission is to restore that immaculate shine and bring the paint to its original condition.
I use an extensive multi step process to restore that original shine only achieved properly using a D/A polisher and meticulously chosen polishes. Using this process to correct the surface of your paint requires multiple stages and then a final polish and seal is used to bring out the paints depth, clarity and shine. This tends to be a very intricate art form practiced by few that takes many hours, patience and a keen eye to detail.
Most auto resellers and inexpensive detailing services apply glazes that use fillers to temporarily hide the defects. The car may look good, but it will return back to normal after just a few weeks. I use safe polishers that have no silicone or fillers. My process will yield permanent results. In addition I fully detail the car to make it look and feel like a brand new car.
Not Just A Caked On Wax
This is not just another rotary buffer wax job. Though a rotary buffer serves a purpose, it is not able to achieve the level of protection and correction that a D/A polisher with polishing and sealing does. Rotary buffers apply wax to the top of the clear in a very slow rotating manner creating buffer swirls and holograms. D/A polishers oscillate and will not instill the dreaded buffer swirls or holograms. A D/A polisher creates a more uniform, higher gloss finish than a buffer could ever achieve. Using polishes is important in maintaining the condition of the paint. Polishing oils replace original resins and fill in the naturally occurring microscopic pores and surface imperfections thus preventing detrimental substances and elements as simple as water, or worse, acid-rain, from entering into these pores and microscopic surface imperfections thus causing oxidation and chemical etching. Sealing then applies a clear barrier of cross-linked polymers to protect against dirt, moisture, oil, and UV radiation to maintain an optimum gloss. Sealants last anywhere from 4-6 months, depending on climate and driving conditions. The typical wax jobs only lasts 6-8 weeks.
But Why?
Having your car detailed protects your investment. Exposure to the environment and micro-scratching caused by day-in, day-out wear and tear, your paint develops micro-fissures in the surface along with other defects. These micro-fissures and other defects act to make the continuous film or coating of paint more porous. As this happens, your car's finish becomes more vulnerable to corrosive elements that will attack and degrade your finish. Neglected cars paint do not hold up and often lead to paint failure down the road. By having your car properly detailed, you protect the longevity of the paint.
Even New Cars?
Definitely, New cars can come off the lot swirled and lightly marred. Quick prep washes by low level techs at a dealer usually cause more damage than good. Usually the defects are not extensive but a good machine polish and seal removes all imperfections and helps protect the brand new paint from harsh elements to come. The factory or dealer can't provide these services. With proper polishing and sealing it ensures your paint is protected and will keep that new shine lasting longer over the life of the vehicle.
